A molecular genetics research scientist at Agriculture Victoria commented:

“We use the Micronic sample storage products because the individual barcoded tubes allows us to easily swap tubes from plate to plate. Previously, we would make up a new plate using an aliquot of sample. By instead swapping the tubes, we no longer need to split the sample up when we need to analysis the sample again. As we have over 70,000 DNA samples, it is preferable to keep a sample in a single tube then split over several plates.”
