Read moreThe several caps are made of PolyEthylene (PE), Thermo Plastic Elastomer (TPE) or Ethyl Vinyl Acetate (EVA).
Read moreThe Capmat is a mat of 96 Push Caps that can be applied in one motion. All 96 caps can be removed in the same motion. The TPE Capcluster also caps all 96 tubes in one motion, but you can remove the foil and it leaves the tubes individually capped. The Capband is a band of either 8 caps or 12 caps which comes in the form of a Capmat. Due to the existing break lines, caps can be removed in a row format.
Read moreWe offer various caps for internally threaded tubes and externally threaded tubes. The caps vary in Screw Caps and Push Caps.

Read moreMicronic labware is compatible with the common liquid handling robots in the market (e.g. Tecan, Hamilton, Beckman Coulter, Eppendorf, PerkinElmer). Contact us for more detailed information.
Read moreIsolating and separating suspensions and liquids is a common practice in chemistry, biology, biotechnology, clinical medicine and other life sciences. During these procedures, laboratory centrifuges expose samples against high relative centrifugal forces. In the Tech Note ‘Relative Centrifugal Forces’ centrifugal testing was performed to determine what relative centrifugal force (RCF) Micronic labware can withstand. You can request the Tech Note here...
Read moreMicronic labware is designed for long-term sample storage. Samples can be stored in Micronic tubes and racks indefinately.
Read moreThe temperature range of the material of the tubes, caps and racks is approved from -80ºC to +100ºC. In practice tubes are used in lower temperatures until vapor phase LN2 (-150ºC to -196ºC). Micronic does not recommend to store tubes in liquid phase nitrogen (LN2). In practice tubes are only snap freezed in LN2 (without submerging the cap).
Read moreAt room temperature the shelf life of our labware products is 10 years (for gamma irradiated products 5 years).
Read moreYes, Micronic manufactured labware is free of any detectable RNase or DNase contamination and the endotoxin level of produced and packaged labware is limited to an acceptable minimum (< 0.01 EU/ml).
Read moreMicronic’s laser etched 2D Data-Matrix codes can be read after extreme abrasion and submerging into several chemicals. The excellent results of the Micronic 2D Data-Matrix codes confirm the capability of mechanical and chemical resistance guaranteeing reliable sample identification after short or long-term storage.
Read moreWe offer two types of sterilization methods for our labware: Gamma Irradiation and Ethylene Oxide (Eto) treatment. Learn more about these sterilization methods here...
Read moreYes we have several cutomization options available for our labware. We also do special product development programs in close cooperation with our customers. Learn more about our customization offers here...

Read moreThe Micronic 24-1, 24-2, 24-4, 24-5 and 24-6 Racks.
Read moreThe Micronic sample storage rack range features a laser-etched 1D rack barcode on one side of the rack and for specific rack types an additional 2D Data-Matrix code on the bottom.
Read moreThe ULT-Rack Range and the Comorack-96 are made of Polycarbonate (PC).
Read moreAll Micronic Storage Racks are based on the global recognized ANSI/SLAS standards (formerly recognized as ANSI/SBS Standards). We offer our racks in 138-, 96-, 48- and 24-well format. Our sample storage rack range features a laser-etched 1D rack barcode on one side of the rack and for specific rack types an additional 2D Data-Matrix code on the bottom.
Read moreThe Alphanumeric code corresponds with the position of the tube in the rack (e.g. A1). The code is therefore unique per rack. A 1D Barcode is the standard 'barcode' (type 128B). With a standard barcode the data that is stored can only be numerical (i.e. a series of numbers). The 2D Data-Matrix is an open 2D code and is laser-etched on the bottom of the tube. Both the 1D barcode and 2D Data-Matrix code can be customized.
Read moreYes, several Micronic tubes are available in a tube trial pack. Please see an overview here...
Read moreThis is a feature for Micronic Screw Cap tubes and accompanying racks. The ‘Twist-Lock’ feature prevents turning of the Screw Cap during (de)capping.
Read moreThis is an option for Micronic internal thread tubes and it locks tubes into the wells in the rack to prevent sample loss from overturned racks.
Read moreSample storage tubes with internal thread feature a single turn thread on the inside of the tube, ensuring an easy opening and closing of the tube. These tubse can be sealed with a screw cap or push cap. Sample storage tubes with external thread feature a triple start thread on the outside of the tube, ensuring optimal sealing quality. These tubes can also be sealed with a screw cap or push cap. Read more in our blog.
Read moreAn inner U-bottom maximizes the working volume of tubes. An inner V-bottom maximizes sample recovery and gives the lowest dead volume.
Read moreThe Micronic hybrid tubes are tubes with two white side walls enabling 4 coding concepts. Samples can be identified with the 2D Data-Matrix, 1D barcode, numeric human readable code and by written codes on the white surface of the tube.
Read moreYes, the name of the tube refers to the gross volume of the tube. The working volume (net volume) depends on the temperature in which the sample is stored in, the cap type that is used to seal the tubes with and the inside bottom of the tube.
Read moreThe tubes can be ordered either in bulk or prefilled in racks. It is also possible to order the tubes precapped. Micronic labware is packed in air-tight bags in our certified class 7 clean rooms.
Read moreWe offer sample storage tubes in formats ranging from 0.30ml to 6.00ml in 96-, 48- or 24-well format.
Read moreFor the manufacturing of its long term sample storage labware products Micronic uses solely virgin plastic raw material. For the tubes this material is Poloypropylene (PP).
