Our commitment to sustainable design drives us to continuously innovate and improve our products. We are proud to release a new addition to our Eco-Friendly Choice (EFC) Rack Range: the EFC Refill Rack. The unique EFC Refill Rack features a reusable base rack, a refill system made of 99% in-house renewed material, and a polypropylene cover. Designed for repeated use, the EFC Refill Rack offers laboratories a more sustainable and economical solution by eliminating the need to purchase a completely new rack or bulk tubes each time. Made entirely of polypropylene (PP), both the base rack and cover are easier to recycle, setting a new standard for sustainability in sample processing.
Furthering our commitment to sustainability, the Micronic EFC Refill Rack is now certified with the ACT Label from My Green Lab. At Micronic, we believe in empowering everyone to make informed decisions about their purchases and their environmental impact. The ACT Label, the first environmental impact factor label for laboratory products, was developed by the non-profit organization My Green Lab to provide transparency on the environmental impact of laboratory products. It offers insights into a product’s manufacturing process, user impact, and end-of-life considerations.
We are glad to announce that the Micronic EFC Refill Rack has achieved an Environmental Impact Factor (EIF) score of just 23.9, a significant improvement compared to the previous score of 32.8 on our former labels for labware. This achievement not only reflects our ongoing efforts to minimize our environmental footprint but also motivates us to continue seeking ways to improve sustainability across our product range. At Micronic, we are constantly exploring opportunities to reduce the environmental impact of our products, reaffirming our commitment to a greener future.
