  • 2D Data-Matrix Codes: A unique 2D Data-Matrix code is laser-etched on the bottom of each tube, allowing for a large amount of data to be stored in a small space. This is the cornerstone of Micronic’s system, as it allows for an entire rack of 96 tubes to be read in a matter of seconds.
  • 1D Barcodes and Human-Readable Codes: For additional security and convenience, many tubes also feature a 1D barcode and a human-readable code on the side. This multi-level coding ensures that samples can be identified both visually and through automated systems, providing a failsafe for identification. Some Micronic racks also feature a 2D Data-Matrix code on the bottom, allowing for simultaneous reading of both the tubes and the rack for a completely traceable solution.

These readers can scan an entire rack of 96 tubes in just a few seconds, capturing all 2D codes simultaneously. The advanced DR710 even features an active anti-frost system, allowing you to read codes from frozen samples without waiting for them to thaw.
  • Single-Tube Readers: For quick, individual sample identification, Micronic provides single-tube readers like the versatile DT520. This device can read both 1D and 2D codes in less than a second, making it perfect for rapid checks at the bench.

All Micronic rack readers are supplied with the user-friendly Micronic Code Reader Software. This software is designed for optimal performance and easy integration with laboratory information management systems (LIMS), streamlining data transfer and minimizing the risk of manual errors.
