SLAS2025: Recap & Innovations

We had an incredible time at the SLAS2025 International Conference & Exhibition. As leaders in sample storage innovation, it was a blast interacting with laboratory researchers, showcasing our latest advancements, and being part of such a dynamic event. At our booth, we hosted a fun and interactive competition where participants guessed the number of tubes inside a large tube. It was a huge success, and we’d like to congratulate the winner on his prize! Two major highlights from this year’s event were the unveiling of our two exciting new products: the X-Clear tubes and the Rack Filler LT500. We’re proud to introduce these innovations, which we believe will make a real difference in laboratory workflows.

Micronic’s X-Clear Tubes set new standards in transparency and durability. Designed for demanding laboratory workflows, these tubes offer exceptional optical clarity and optimal light transmittance, making them ideal for precise sample preparation and analysis. They can withstand temperatures from -80°C to +210°C and intermittent exposure up to 235°C, ensuring reliability even under extreme conditions. The X-Clear Tubes combine the durability and lightweight nature of plastic with the transparency and high-temperature resistance typically found in glass tubes.

The Micronic Rack Filler LT500 is designed to streamline the process of (re)filling sample storage racks. This system allows researchers to fill or refill racks with sample storage tubes quickly and efficiently, reducing manual handling and minimizing the risk of contamination. Designed to hold multiple racks and featuring a cycle time of just 20 minutes for 8 racks, this device significantly boosts researchers’ productivity. The LT500 is compatible with various tube volumes and contributes to reducing plastic waste by enabling the reuse of existing storage racks, thus minimizing the need for constant replacement.
