Micronic is an independent organization with its headquarters located in Lelystad, the Netherlands. We are an ISO 9001 and 14001 certified company.
Micronic’s goal is to advance research by serving scientists in finding solutions that contribute to a higher quality of life. We develop and manufacture a range of products to enhance the process of sample preservation and storage.
For its Rotterdam Study, the oldest long-term population health study in the Netherlands, Erasmus Medical Center has switched to the compact 2D coded tube system from Micronic for the storage of its biological samples.
“I chose Micronic because of the space saving 96-well rack format; more sample material could fit in the freezer compared to products from other companies. The screw cap also stays securely in place during long-term storage in -80°C."
The University of Edinburgh and the Natural History Museum are using, as part of the 'Insect Pollinators Initiative', the Micronic 4.00ml tube for storing the larger insects in the collection.
"We are very happy with the tubes of Micronic, it is truly more efficient and space saving than we had in the past. Next to that, the fact that the tube positions are laser-etched in the rack itself is very helpful. We always know where the A1 tube is located."
The transparent tube walls enable easy visual checking, while the 4 coding concepts guarantee sample traceability. Working volume (+21°C): 1.20ml with Screw Cap.
The Micronic 138-2 HD Rack has a honeycomb design, increasing the number of samples that can be stored up to 43% compared to a standard ANSI/SLAS format rack.
The DR710 is equipped with a uniquely designed active anti-frost system so that tube codes from even frozen samples can be read.
