Next-gen Ultra-low temperature racks

Drawing upon over 40 years of experience in manufacturing and supplying traceable sample storage solutions to research centers and laboratory facilities, Micronic has developed its Next Generation Ultra-Low Temperature Tube Storage Rack Range. The Micronic Ultra-Low Temperature (ULT) Racks not only feature an improved design but also offer enhanced performance in every aspect. These racks incorporate several unique features, including an exceptionally robust design for cryogenic storage, an “icebreaker” cover lock mechanism, cover prints indicating rack and tube type, rack orientation marks and a highly transparent cover that allows for easy visual inspection of the enclosed samples.

Precision-engineered in a certified Class 7 clean room production facility, the Micronic ULT Racks are designed in accordance with the Society for Laboratory Automation and Screening (ANSI/SLAS) standards for storage racks, accommodating 138, 96, 48, or 24 tubes. These racks ensure absolute traceability and reproducibility through innovative laser-etched alphanumeric visual location aids on top, a 2D code on the bottom, and/or a laser-etched 1D barcode on the side. Additionally, the open-bottom design of the storage racks facilitates rapid defrosting of samples, enhancing usability and efficiency.

Micronic sample storage racks are crafted to be high-quality, durable, and compatible with automated equipment. With various identification options, you can easily distinguish between racks, ensuring a comprehensive overview of your sample collection. Available in multiple formats, these racks cater to diverse research needs. The racks are designed to withstand temperatures ranging from vapor phase LN2 up to +100°C, and in some cases, even +140°C.

Micronic also offers various sustainable rack options, including a tube refill system for racks, honeycomb-design racks and racks made from renewed material. With the tube refill system, researchers can easily refill their existing sample storage racks with new tubes in a single motion. The Micronic 138-2 HD rack features a honeycomb-style well design that allows for 43% more sample storage within the same space compared to regular racks. Additionally, the Micronic Eco-Friendly Choice (EFC) Rack Range is manufactured from in-house renewed materials, setting a new sustainable standard for sample storage racks.
