Micronic Side Barcode Readers
When mounted on the side of a Micronic Rack Reader, both the 1D rack barcode and 2D Data-Matrix tube codes can be read simultaneously.
The compact Micronic Rack Reader DR505 reads whole racks filled with 2D Data-Matrix coded tubes. The DR505 features an anti-frost system, which minimizes condensation of frozen samples on the scanner plate. This way, tube codes from even frozen samples can be read, improving productivity and preserving the integrity of samples. The scanner is standard provided with Micronic Code Reader Software to ensure optimal performance.

Micronic labware is manufactured and assembled in-house in a NEN-EN-ISO14644-1 Class 7 certified clean room environment (which is comparable to the US Federal Standard 209E Class 10,000).
For the manufacturing of its long term sample storage labware products Micronic uses solely virgin plastic raw material. The raw materials and auxiliary agents are selected based on the specifications that satisfy the high quality requirements of our products. The materials are FDA approved and comply with the (USA) USP XXII tests, including class VI (Medical approved), and the European Pharmacopoeia-monograph 3.2.2 unless communicated otherwise. Material components used to produce Micronic labware can be traced via the lot number indicated on the packaging.
The materials used for Micronic tubes are the result of extensive research. One selection criterion is that the amount of measurable extractables leaching into samples is minimized.
By maintaining the highest possible hygiene level during our production processes, Micronic manufactured labware is free of any detectable RNase or DNase contamination and the endotoxin level of produced and packaged labware is limited to an acceptable minimum (< 0.01 EU/ml). Our products are periodically tested on RNase, DNase and their endotoxin levels by independent expert organizations.
The Micronic 2D Data-Matrix codes and 1D barcodes are produced conform industry standards. The 2D Data-Matrix code (which adheres to the ECC200 standard) and 1D barcode (type 128B) are laser-etched into the code area and are guaranteed unique.
Products produced by Micronic are tested according to AQL inspection level G2 and AQL value 0.4.
Micronic Sample Storage tubes are classified as general laboratory products according to leading European Life Science Organizations (GAMBICA, FHI, LABMAS, Laborama, SPECTARIS). More information can be found here.
Upon request, Micronic products can be supplied gamma irradiated or ethylene oxide treated.
Our products comply with the IATA requirements for the transport of diagnostic specimens (UN packing instruction 602 and 650), assuming that our products are properly used (closed).

To enable fast, accurate and efficient sample identification, Micronic offers an extensive code reader range which consists of whole rack and single tube readers. The high-end DR700 and DR710 Rack Readers feature deep focus image technology (CCD imaging technology) ensuring the highest accuracy 2D code reading, and an anti-frost system so that tube codes from even frozen samples can be read. The DR700 has a passive anti-frost system, whereas the DR710 has an active anti-frost system. The DR700 and DR710 have a scan time of approximately 7 seconds. To read 1D rack barcodes simultaneously, the Side Barcode Reader is available.
The Micronic Rack Reader DR505 is a small benchtop solution that can read 2D codes quickly and cost effective within seconds. The compact reader is built for high throughput and automated systems. The DR505 has a passive anti-frost system, which enables users to read racks filled with 2D codes tubes straight from the freezer. All Micronic Rack Readers are standard supplied with Micronic Code Reader Software to ensure an optimal performance. To identify codes from single tubes, we offer easy to use single tube scanners. The versatile Micronic Tube Reader DT510 can read 1D barcoded and 2D Data-Matrix coded tubes within 1 second. The Micronic Tube Reader DT300 is a portable lightweight device.

The automation-friendly 0.40ml tube enables efficient storage of low volumes of liquid samples. This tube has a massive working volume of 0.40ml (+21ºC) with Screw Cap.
The transparent part of the 3.00ml hybrid tube walls enable visual checking, while the 4 different coding concepts guarantee sample traceability. Working volume (+21°C): 2.45ml with Screw Cap.
