Tubestrip-8 & Tubes for Light Sensitive Samples

Tubestrip-8: Micronic offers an economical, non-coded solution for storing up to 8 samples in a linked row (1.40ml), with the same features and benefits as other Micronic tubes. The Micronic TPE Capband-8 or EVA Capband-8 are available for closure.

Amber tubes for light sensitive samples: The Amber storage tube uniquely safeguards light sensitive samples while still usefully allowing visual checking of enclosed sample volume. The tubes (including code area) are manufactured of the highest-purity Amber Polypropylene.

Tubes for Light Sensitive Samples

Amber tubes are designed from special amber colored material (sample remains visible) to eliminate sample degradation by exposure to light. The wavelength absorbtion or blocking: 190-400nm (ultraviolet). Examples of analytes that are light sensitive and can therefore be perfectly stored in the Amber tubes: Bilirubin, Erythrocyte Protoporphyrin or Carotene.

“We used the 6.00ml externally threaded tubes with 2D Data-Matrix code on the bottom. It was critical for us to have a good sample ID, so the 2D Data-Matrix code on the bottom and the 1D Rack barcode helped us to keep good track of our samples.”

“After a comprehensive evaluation of commercially available consumables we selected Micronic 0.75ml and 1.4ml tubes together with screw caps and Roborack storage racks to provide high integrity, long-term storage of our human blood, serum and plasma samples at –80°C."

"We are very happy with the tubes of Micronic, it is truly more efficient and space saving than we had in the past. Next to that, the fact that the tube positions are laser-etched in the rack itself is very helpful. We always know where the A1 tube is located."

“The Micronic Screw Cap Recapper is a very smoothly running, easy to use and silent device. I also think it is a great benefit that the Screw Cap Recapper is contamination-free."
